Harper’s Story

Harper was seven years old, but the meaning of her life cannot be measured in years.

She was joyful, curious, loving, funny, and kind. She loved her family and friends deeply and had a warmth that drew people toward her.

In March 2025, Harper was diagnosed with a rare pediatric brain cancer. Over the sixteen months that followed, she faced an extraordinary journey with courage, grace, and a spirit that continued to bring joy and light to those around her.

But cancer is not Harper’s story.

Harper’s life was defined not by her illness, but by her character.

Through extraordinarily difficult circumstances, she continued to find reasons to smile. She continued to love. She continued to think about others. She continued to bring happiness to the people around her.

She reminded us that character is revealed not only by what happens to us, but by how we continue to treat others.

She left behind something illness could never take away: the love she gave to others.

That love remains in her family, her friends, her classmates, and everyone whose life she touched.

Harper’s Light Foundation was created so that the spirit she brought into this world — kindness, courage, joy, and love — can continue to reach people she never had the chance to meet.

Her light lives on.
